A really long climb with a small average slope but they are a few short portion at 15% for attacks !

Many riders could be at the 17km of the climb but after it will be more difficult, before a easily final where pure climbers has to made the race if they want to win. It looks like the final of the stage 8 that Pozzovivo wins but the climb before is more difficult.

A short flat stage for tomorrow...

With a flat final :

A new opportunity for the sprinters to win that they will not want to miss.

Their teams should controller easily this short stage, they will be fresh and complete to be back on the breakaway fastly.
Nothing should prevent the sprinters to fight it out then.

The final is in perfect straight line and we can expect that there is no crash.

Let us see what are the best sprinters but especially the ones in better shape with this table.

Stage 2, 3, 5 and 11 are the mass sprint for sprinters in this Giro. We can see the rank of the riders for each sprint, and 0 is when the riders is beyond the 20th rank (crash or doesn't sprint...). I pt coulour to se more easily the best results.

Giro Stage #8 Preview

Weather : Sunny; wind 20kph from back.

Road : Difficult stage like the two last stage. Breakies can win but leaders think about the bonuses time and the last sloped climb help them…

The difficulty of the stage is the Colle Molella, but that is not the arrival. Cyclists have to ride 4 more kilometers in slightly downhill to be at the arrival.

This climb is very sloped in few portions, good for real climbers like Scarponi or Rodriguez, and not for riders like Kreuziger or Hesjedal.

But that is not the arrival so we can have a group at the top and then a sprint, like today.

We have tested to possibilities, a climber or more attack in the climb or o group is at the top and the victories is played by a sprint.

Preview Giro Stage #7

Weather : Mostly sunny ; 25°C ; 15kph from back.

Road : A few climbs as stage 6 but for this stage for a real arrival climb with the Rocca di Cambio. Breakies can win, but it is certain that the favorites will fight, at least in the final. Perfect for head to head.

Here is the Rocca di Cambio :

A climb for climbers powerful, not to small Colombian. Indeed, the percentages are low, and it will ride very fast. Especially since the wind will be back.

I think that we will not see favorites attack in the climb, like in the Tour de Romandie. It will be too dangerous to take a few seconds.

But the final kilometers are really interesting…

See by yourself :

I imagine a group of 15/30 men at the top of the Rocca di Cambio. But the win will be played in this climb of 1.5km in the city after a short downhill. It will be perfect for the remaining punchers. There is a sloped portion (10%) at 500 meter of the line and even if victory is played in the sprint, the last one hundred meter are rather sloped (8%).

Favorites :    All the cyclist named here can be in the group at the top of the Rocca di Cambio, and the most * are those who can win in the last 1.5km climb.

Preview Giro Stage #4 Team Time Trial

Rest day today on the Giro, but I take this time for presenting you a big preview of the tomorrow's stage.

Read my table to find the to find the favorites of the TTT, but firstly I have to explain you how it works. 
The "team total gap" differentiate teams. It's counted on the total individual time loose to Taylor Phinney in the first TT, in seconds. (A effort on a long TTT is very near of an effort in short TT). 
The other value is the average gap of the five best guys of the team (the time in TTT is couted on the fifth guy) with the best team, here Garmin. It's probably their gap on 10km, so you can multipliate that by three and have an estimation of their gap at the end. 
And finnaly I add some colours to see better team very differents and team who stand near. A team in the same colour but one position up will be probably better in the Giro's TTT but a team one position up but with a "more green" coulour will VERY probably best wednesday. 


I give you ideas of bet, because they are many mistake in the oppening of bets in cycling and with that you'll be able to find them. 

So, for match ups: 

Same colour: bet when team up >2.0 and team down >2.5 
One colour of difference: bet when team up >1.85 and team down >3.0 
Two colours of difference: bet when team up>1.5 and don't bet on team down 

For the stage you can bet on: 

Garmin if >3.0 
Greenedge if >8.0 
Sky if >9.0
